A Good Soaking on the Trail

I joined 35 other trail runners last night to run the trails of Kananaskis, in the foothills of the Rockies. A mountain thundershower came through just as we were starting out so we call got drenched, no matter how much rain gear we brought. But it dried out after 30 minutes and was quite pleasant for most of the run.

Starting at Station Flats, we ran mostly single track and double track over rolling hills and rough terrain for a total of 450m vertical in 12.5 km. This time it was Elbow Trail and Sulphur Springs Trails.

The wildfire smoke and in the air and the rain clouds kept the views stunted a bit but this is a beautiful place nonetheless.

I can’t seem to get enough of running here.
