Most of my runs are along the beautiful Bow River within the city limits in Calgary Alberta. I am lucky the river virtually runs through my backyard and that the riverside trail system is so accessible from my place.
I find the running water so inspiring. Here’s some recent views from my runs.
Gorgeous!!! I do love running along the Bow. We really are so lucky. 🙂

You certainly are fortunate! And it seems to me that a big part of that good fortune is that you’re benefiting from the wise decisions of your local government to preserve and enhance the land alongside the river for community use. Here in Sydney, Australia we have a nice harbour but so much of the shoreline is in private hands and the community has no access. We have a lot to learn from Canadians 🙂

We definitely have it good with nature being so close to us and so accessible. I take my kids out regularly for hikes in the mountains. They don’t know how good they have it.

The rivers and the mountains make this a beautiful place to live (and run)

Apparently! I wish we had that sort of topography here in Ottawa!!!

The Bow is one constant of Calgary running for me, either mid-week dt or Fish Creek Park. I think we cross it 4 times during the marathon?

We probably pass each other once in a while. See you at the Calgary Marathon. 50k, eh? I did 50k last year. This year I’m doing the half.
