This 19 km long linear park in south Calgary doesn’t seem to end. There is a paved trail the whole way crossing the creek numerous times. It is very popular with casual bikers so the single track can be quieter. The steep sides of the valley lend themselves to hill running if you are into that but the paved trail is essentially very flat.
There are about 5 main accesses with parking along the length but any adjacent community has easy access virtually at any point along the length on either side. When you’re down in the valley it doesn’t feel like the city and you can rarely seen the roads. But when you see the roads, they are big and busy.
Don’t try to run the whole thing the first time. There are lots of trails for another day.
